Team

nach morgen is a young interdisciplinary team with experience in design, development and consulting

It all started with two people in a shared office space in Ehrenfeld Cologne. With our projects becoming more complex the former pair evolved to a real team. Our backgrounds are quite different: we have graduates in design, art, computer science and even in social work. But combining all these different perspectives is what makes us an effective team.

Why are we listing our pronouns?

We list our pronouns to show how we want to be addressed and to make gender diversity visible.

Address people with respect
By telling our pronouns people know how they can address us. Names alone do not always reveal a person's gender and so you can prevent misunderstandings.

Visibility of gender diversity
Through listing different pronouns we help to normalize that as best practice and contribute to a more gender-sensitive discourse.

Values

We have a shared set of values that guide our design decisions.

Our values are shared by every person on the team and we all agree to use them as guidance in our daily work. They help us to find decisions in the design process and they guide is in our internal and external communication.

01  Trust and transparency

Our work requires trust—trust in our customers, our team, and our partners in our network. We keep control to a minimum and focus on transparency to encourage initiative and independence.

02  Communication

We want to create an open and safe working environment based on honest and respectful communication. Everyone should be able to express their feelings, thoughts, and concerns. By fostering a culture of trust and communication, we avoid conflicts in the long term and identify problems early on. That’s why we take enough time for discussions and cultivate a positive feedback culture.

03  Empathy

Empathy is a key skill for respectful cooperation. We break down barriers and put ourselves in the other person’s shoes – both among ourselves and in our work with customers, partners, and the target groups for the products we develop.

04  Diversity in perspectives

Our work should paint a realistic picture of the world. That is why we strive to reflect the diversity of our society in our products, designs, and structures. We want to represent the different viewpoints and perspectives of our customers and users. This is an ongoing learning process that never ends. Sometimes we succeed better, sometimes less so—but we keep at it and continue to develop.

05  Responsibility and reflexion

Our work is shaped by a queer and intersectional feminist perspective, which we authentically represent through our own identity. Solidarity and respect are central to us. We question existing structures and actively advocate for change. At the same time, we know that we still have areas to learn: our office is not barrier-free, and our team is predominantly white, cis, and male. We take these challenges seriously and are continuously working on more inclusive structures.

Less buzz, more responsibility

(and no office fruit basket, sorry)

Of course, when you work for us, you get all the equipment you need—a laptop, tablet, and so on are a given. We also provide cold drinks, height-adjustable desks, and a membership to Urban Sports.

But the most important thing is that the environment and equipment are designed so that everyone can work safely, productively, and happily. That’s why we like to use the end of the day for a game night. And at least once every three months, we plan a team trip, for example to an exhibition or climbing.
