With the Sexuality in Old Age (SIA) project, SEXUELLE GESUNDHEIT SCHWEIZ (Sexual Health Switzerland) is developing a new offering that will launch in 2025 with an introductory lecture and training course for seniors. We were tasked withcc developing a design concept and corporate identity for the communication strategy that would make the project’s content-related goals visible and accessible.
Background and objectives
Sexuality in old age remains a highly stigmatized topic. Older people’s needs for intimacy, closeness, and sexual self-determination are often ignored or considered taboo. With its “Sexuality in Old Age” (SIA) project, SEXUELLE GESUNDHEIT SCHWEIZ (SGCH) aims to counteract this and create spaces for exchange, reflection, and education. The goal is to enable a gentle and easy introduction to the topic, break down barriers, and open up access—both for seniors and for professionals. The design concept we developed supports this goal by conveying the content in a clear, friendly, and respectful visual language.
